Bianca Olivares Reyes is a graduate of the Caminos program and a graphic designer for the ESB-MACC. She, along with members of the current class of Caminantes, will be offering free face painting on a first come, first served basis at the festival while supplies last. *PLEASE WEAR A MASK* and get the top half of your face painted! They will be stationed near the children's activity area outside of the Community Gallery.

Come enjoy this FAMILY STORYTELLING EVENT with La Katrina’s dance of marigolds and butterflies, a Dia de los Muertos shadow puppet show, ‘La Muneca’ storytelling, and related art activities.

Two shows: 6:00 PM & 7:30 PM.

POCKET ALTAR
WITH MEXI-ARTE

Make a pocket altar with Mexic-Arte Museum, whose annual Viva La Vida Parade (Oct 29, 2022) is an Austin tradition! This altar is a simple cut and fold project appropriate for any child as long as they have adult supervision. You can color, cut, and glue it at the MACC or start it here and finish at home!

LOTERIA
WITH MEXAMERICON

If you've seen the loteria graphics before but never got a chance to play the game, now is the time! Between musical acts on the Zocalo stage, head to the loteria table to play a round or two! Loteraia is a game with a long history in Mexico- the rules are simple but there are tons of ways to make it more challenging- like the rhymes used to give you clues! The basic rules are, you get a board, the caller calls out each card and if you have that card on your board, mark it with a bean. a full card wins-but you have to shout out Loteria! Try your luck!
